March's Guitar of the Month Winner!
We’re pleased to announce that Taylor F. is the latest winner of our Guitar of the Month contest!
Curious about his process? Here is his story:
"Here's my build using the combine 8 string multiscale headless kit.
It's my third time building a guitar, second from a kit and my most ambitious attempt yet.
I did a bit of reshaping on the neck and body to fit my side and hand perfectly, before starting on the finishing. The front is painted in eggshell pink, with the sides dyed purple, and the back dyed blue. I also dyed a purple stripe down the middle of the back of the neck. I coated the whole thing in a layer of nitro for a vintage feel.
My 5 year old son drew the hearts on the front, one of each member of our family, and then I carved them out and filled them in with epoxy. This was my first attempt at mixing coloured resin, so I also gave the covers on the back a go, mixing the three main colours of the guitar.
