This 5-String bass guitar is Combine’s modern take on a classic design. The Puffin features a maple neck with a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard. Finished in glossy black with a white pickguard, a basswood body was selected to reduce the overall weight of the instrument. We chose to use a bolt-on neck with 34" scale length and standardized hardware sizing, allowing this build to be compatible with most aftermarket single-coil split pickups and hardware.
