May's Guitar of the Month Winner!

Curious about his process? Here is his story:
"This has been my favorite kit build to date. It was a challenging and rewarding build. Along the way the owner/luthier Connors was very supportive in helping me through a few challenges I faced.
After initial test-fit and disassembly, I begin to prep the wood using mineral spirits. After drying I used 3 coats of Keda blue wood dye to obtain the color. A gloss clear spray enamel was used to seal the body and create a nice hard finish. After curing, I proceeded to wet sand in progressively finer grits, then buffed to achieve a nice polish and shine.
The neck I finished in a thin polyurethane, which I then sanded back to 800 grit to create a nice smooth finish. Overall I was extremely impressed with the quality of wood (especially the neck) and the hardware that is included in this kit.
The electronics cavity was sealed with conductive copper shielding tape, and the pickups were wired up very easily thanks to the pre-soldering that is done with this kit.
After final assembly and setup, I am so glad to finally have this project finished, my first 8 String and it is such a joy to play.
