December's Guitar of the Month Winner!
We’re pleased to announce that Bill A. (@goodcircuits) is the latest winner of our Guitar of the Month contest!
Curious about his process? Here is his story:
"Mr. Sparkle! I went with the headless six string bass kit for my latest build. I used my go-to specs again: EMG 45J and 45P paired with an LHZ preamp as well as flush-mounted Dunlop strap locks. The neck is finished with Tru-Oil and gunstock wax. This time for the finish I added glitter to the stain and included a heat transfer of Homer as Mr. Sparkle! (The result of a joint venture between Matsumura Fishworks and Tamaribuchi Heavy Manufacturing Concern). It's hard to capture the glitter unless photographed in direct light, but I brought the bass out on a sunny, snowy day to do my best. The cherry blossom knobs are from Twist Tone. I tuned this bass in open G, as I write and record a lot of songs in either C or G tuning." - Bill A.
